At present, one of the most outstanding Czech tenors Tomas Cerny performs as a guest soloist on Czech and European opera stages. Besides his numerous appearances at the National Theatre Opera in Prague and the Prague State Opera Tomas Cerny performed in 2012 at the European House of the year 2009 and 2010 Theater Basel (Janacek’s Katya Kabanowa) furthermore at Opernhaus Zürich (2010) and at Staatstheater Nürnberg (2013) as The Prince from Dvorak’s Rusalka and at Staatstheater Stuttgart in 2008 as Laca Klemen in Calixto Bieito’s production of Janacek’s Jenufa etc. Under the baton of Manfred Honeck Mr Cerny sang the tenor part of Dvorak’s Stabat Mater with the Czech Philharmonic in 2011.
