At present, one of the most outstanding Czech tenors Tomas Cerny performs as a permanent guest soloist at both the National Theatre Opera in Prague and the Prague State Opera. He made a highly successful debut at Staatsoper Stuttgart in Jully 2008 as Laca Klemen in Calixto Bieito´s production of Janacek´s Jenufa under the baton of Marc Piollet and at Opernhaus Zürich as The Prince (Dvorak´s Rusalka) in June 2010 - conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev. In December 2009 Tomas Cerny gave a Tchaikovski concert at the Komische Oper Berlin under the chief conductor Carl St. Clair.
Tomas Cerny is specialized in Dvorak´s oratorio repertoire and is internationally acclaimed for his singing of tenor parts in Stabat Mater, Requiem and The Spectre´s Bride.
